Why use a relocation consultant to manage a move to Brisbane?

May 1, 2019

Many companies will provide a relocation allowance or offer some relocation support to assist their employees with an interstate or international move. This is where Habitat Relocations can come in and partner with you and/or your employer to ensure a successful move to Brisbane.

Support and Expertise

A relocation professional will understand that there is a myriad of things on your mind when your are relocating your life to an unfamiliar city, including: budgetary considerations; moving companies; real estate agents; service providers; schools; neighbourhoods; and family. Not many people deal with these factors every day — relocation specialists do.

Your dedicated Habitat Relocations consultant will fully explain the process, answer questions, talk through logistics and recommend relevant professionals. We can manage everything that is on your mind. We really do care and we are committed to proactive, excellent client service. With the weight of these tasks on our shoulders, you reduce your stress and regain time and energy to refocus and be successful in your new workplace and location as quickly as possible.

Handling the details

Pre-arrival services

We can commence our assistance well in advance of your move to Brisbane. We can provide a comprehensive Moving to Brisbane Guide that will provide practical information on living in Brisbane, opening up bank accounts and transferring money, transport, the property market, the schooling system, health care and so forth.  We can also assist with moving logistics, booking temporary accommodation and airport transfers on arrival in Brisbane, if required.

Home search, school search and settling in

The core of what we do involves helping clients find and settle into their new home in Brisbane as efficiently as possible.  We have been doing this for years for many and varied clients and you can trust our experience and knowledge.  This involves locating homes that meet the your specific needs and preferences (on and off market), arranging inspections, negotiating a fair rental price and submitting a competitive rental application.  Once a property is secured, we can then review lease documentation, arrange utility connections and assist with moving in logistics.

The team at Habitat Relocations can advise on local public and private schools, assist with enrolments and arranging meetings with relevant schools. We can advise on local networking groups, community organisations, local facilities to help orient newcomers to Brisbane and give them the tools to feel at home and confident in their new city as quickly as possible.

Local knowledge

We are locals and have been doing this for a while so we can anticipate things you may not even had a chance to think of yet, e.g. furniture rental, temporary storage or recommendations for domestic cleaners, babysitters and even a restaurant to celebrate your new home! It is so much easier when you have local you can trust.

We can tailor a package to suit varied needs and budgets.  For a full spectrum of the services we provide, please visit our Relocation Services webpage.
